demise.

it's not something that you get to hear frequently.
and it's not something you will want to hear.

people pass on everyday..
it's part and parcel of life..
but to have someone who is about your age, your generation..passing on..
it's not something you will expect..
two people i knew..used to breathe the same air as me before..
now, they are in another world and hopefully in a better place.

sometimes in a world like today..
where everybody starts to forget those around them..
and be buried with their own work..

9 eleven. SEA tsunami. passing of a leader..
it always takes death to bring people together. once again.
it makes everybody stop what their doing. get their attention and after the initial silence.
to make them treasure one's life. the people around them.
what the world has to offer. so much that we do not know. have not seen.
and most importantly to tell others how much you care.

this recent episode made me realise that, in a way i'm fortunate for my friends. my family.
every time a door closes, there's always another door opening.
look around you. open your eyes. and feel for these opportunities.

not too long ago, i would say i was at the lowest point in my entire 22 years of life.
it came out from nowhere. and i hadn't expected it..
fortunately for me, 2 friends, were there. they made the difference. and kept me sane.

like a candle flame, we need air to live, to burn. it gives us light, chase the darkness away. breathe warmth into the cold.
most of us will be able to last tilt the last drop of wax. there are times, however, when the wind becomes too strong, and we find it hard to keep the flickering flame burning. there are hands out there, that are willing to shield you from the wind.
just say it out.

i was truly affected and there was no one i could talk to. but im glad that im not the only one. that even across miles there are some people who you know you'll feel a mental connection with no matter how much time has passed. thanks=)
