and if you feel..just a feeling..
which you maybe right..that he is indeed drifting apart..
or may be wrong..perhaps he's just busy..
that he is moving..drifting..walking away from your life..
you, doing your part as a friend, will want to rectify the situation.
NO?
a simple message is good enough. honestly.
i think it's being unfair to the other party because when you are voicing out the problem..
the person you have a problem with, may be in the dark about it.
and from a bystander's POV, there's only certain amount of feedback one can give.
if there is a problem then you have to work on it!
if the problem lies in a friendship. go talk to the person about it!
every person has a different way of expression for their feelings or concern.
some show it by frequent updates, be it messaging or texting.
some show it by meeting up and talking about it.
some lend you a listening ear.
and there are others whom you know you can always depend on for help when you need it.
honestly, i am no angel.
i am guilty of drifting away from certain groups of people at certain point of time.
tell me if you are unhappy about it.
more often than not, it strengthens the friendship.
being bitter about it, being sore about it. is not going to solve the issue.
when you cast it aside and sweep it under the carpet.
i am going to step over that carpet and i'll never find out about it.
until the stench comes out. by then it may be too late.
if i think we have a problem.
and you are important to me. i will come to you.
but don't wait for that to happen.
because i'll never know you are unhappy.
unless you expressly imply it to me.
it takes two hands to clap.
the least you could do if you're unhappy that one person is no longer clapping,
is to slap that very hand you're unhappy with.
after all, it doesn't vary much from the effort needed to clap.
if you think we have a problem
and i am important to you. you will come to me.
