it's true about the saying about luck.
because it only finds you.
and you can try all ways and means to improve your luck,
look for luck, and it wouldn't really make any difference to your luck.
i striked 4d last sunday.
when i shading the amount to be bought, i had a voice in me telling me to buy more.
but i told myself that there's no point because i'm feeling lucky, not greedy.
after i got the ticket from the cashier, i knew that the ticket was somehow different.
there's this feeling that i knew this ticket does matter.
and have i told you how the choice of the number came about?
it struck me. in front of my eyes. i could just see it. in the form of the car plate in front of me.
somehow i knew it was a number, and not just a licence plate.
and now i'm a little richer :)
my first carnival ticket was 0-0-5-4.
last night i heard it was the winning ticket for an i touch.
cool. i hear you exclaiming!
but no. relax. i did not win it.
when they first came by selling the tickets door to door, i wanted to buy one. and i asked them to read out the available numbers. i knew that 0054 was the one i wanted. there was this bond with it. the same similiar feeling that you can't really put into words. lightness, happy happy feeling.
along the way came an additional 0-1-5-4, and ten other tickets for me to sell from 0321 to 0330. last week during sub comm dinner i remembered bringing all the tickets except for 0054 and 0154 which i left it on my table.
apparently during the meal, i passed it around my subcomm and sold a few tickets to them. upon reaching back to hall only did i realised to my horror that 0054 was gone. i was tempted to fly to the person holding on to my ticket. but i think that it wouldn't be nice. and so i left it the way it is. against the feeling. the special feeling. that keep coming to me that it is something special. i just brushed it off and settled for another random number 032?. for now i'm not unhappy over the fact that i let the chance slipped by; rather i'm more unhappy when i realised 0054 was gone. but it's okay. the impact of knowing that i missed out on the first prize isn't that great. i'm just happy that i could single the lucky ticket. and that i probably made it lucky after touching and playing with it. okay it sounds wrong.
oh and also, when you're feeling lucky, there's this thing in you, that makes you remember every option you chose pior to it happening. you would be able to see both options and somehow the one that you chose would be turned into reality.
last March, before i left my house, i was choosing between two slippers. one was uglier and i told myself that if i wore that i would be involved with an accident. then i realise i didn't bring a water bottle along for sunday soccer so i went back to my room and saw fbt-short-shorts-that-pti-course-gave and i realised that since i'm driving it wouldn't matter changing into it since nobody will see me on the streets since i'm playing soccer straight. along the way at the junction in amk, 2 options came into my mind. bishan park nearer; dont' have to walk so far, but i chose the usual multi storey car park, routine. it didn't occur to me that something was telling me to avoid that route. so i ended up in an accident at the very next junction. and i stepped out of the vehicle in fbt-short-shorts and ugly slippers which i slipped on in the rush out. >< but this is bad luck altogether, and it shall be another entry. point is...
the thing about luck is that.
1. it can only find you.
2. when it finds you, treasure, soak, embrace, it.
3. don't lose it. or be dumb like me and pass it on to somebody.
4. when you can get it back, don't hesistate or you'll lose it.
5. don't say i didn't warn you.
6. good luck! C:
