to the line.

you've been down this track before.
you've had your falls your pains and your injuries,
along with your many other smiles, gifts and happy times.

so now that you're at the finishing line, and i'm just about done with my warm up.
give me time. give me grace.
i know you have my best interest at heart.
let me experience what you had felt before.
don't spoil the surprises, let me break my own fall.
don't point out the pitfalls. just look on and watch.
watch me smile when i evade a trap.
watch me fall flat on my face.
watch me pick myself up from my falls.
trust me that i can do it.
believe in me.
encourage me if you want to.

after all what's life if it's a perfect one.
we need to learn from our mistakes, only then can we become stronger.
and a better person.

it is always nice to be welcomed by people when you cross the line.
