i've been drawing a lot of comments that i'm emo lately.
which is totally false.
i'm just turning old. really. i'm anywhere but emo. everything's fine on my side. be it hall stuff, getting my subjects that i want during this add drop period.
instead, i'm seeing alot of frowns and gloomy faces. as far back as foc itself.
sometimes i wish i could turn this frowns upside down. but i can only be there to listen one at a time, listening and giving suggestions and all. it's not easy to do so.
i've observed a very interesting trend this year. that the freshies are all very independent and have activities that only involve themselves. and upsetting some seniors, which reminded me of a particular conversation that i had.
-topic about letting go now that foc is over-
ME: but you all together liao leh. letting go won't hurt meh? like the last 6 days of foc the bonding and all..
reply: haha let go doesnt mean we totally dun join them for outings at all ma, its just that we leave it to them to be independent and organise their own outings
and after all, we're still seniors and freshies, there's this gap between us. just like we can respect our seniors and think they're very nice, but there're still a lot of things that you wont share with them
and i realise it's a trend that people always stick with their own batch, the seniors with seniors, freshies with freshies. very very few people break this trend, because the seniors would always talk in an alien language with a distant look in their eyes. one that you would never understand. until you become a senior yourself.
on hindsight, i must have been a hero. along with a few others. jumping down into the cliff into the darkness below. lucky i fell on my butt and i had enough flesh to cushion my fall. haha.
if you ask me, i think freshies should be left alone. and explore their hall life, their school life. because sometimes too much help or input from the seniors' may not be a good thing.
we can play together, have gatherings together, but at the end of the way. they should be left on their own. it is better for them in the long run.
on another note,
1. patience. rushing and panicking is the worse to do. you lose your rational mind.
1.5. believe that there is. and it will come sooner than expected.
2. hold on to it. and don't lose your focus. begin with the end in mind.
3. study hard, play hard.
